*We will contact you to get more details and finalize your design. Please note that all custom backdrop designs must be approved at least 4 weeks before the event. Change order costs may apply if last minute alterations are requested.
Photo Booth Operations

The Modern Portrait (Provider) agrees to have the photo booth operational for a minimum of 80% of the time during the start and end time of the event; occasionally, operations may need to be interrupted for maintenance of the photo booth (changing photo paper, adjusting camera, adjusting lighting, adjusting printer, etc)

The Modern Portrait agrees to have a qualified technician onsite to maintain and operate the photo booth and assist guests when needed.

Should The Modern Portrait fail to provide a fully operational photo booth during the agreed upon times, the client's only remedy is a partial refund. Client agrees that The Modern Portrait will not be responsible for consequential damages. If only partial services can be provided due to conditions beyond our reasonable control, then the rental charges shall be on a prorated basis.

Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is required to secure the event date. The remaining balance is due 2 days before the event date. If final payment is not received, the Provider reserves the right to cancel the event with no refunds of deposit. Client will pay a $35 fee for any and all returned checks.

The deposit will be refunded in full if the booking is canceled at least 60 days before the event. Half of the deposit amount will be refunded if the event is canceled 30-59 days before the event. The deposit will be forfeit if booking is canceled less than 30 days before the event.

Access, Space, and Power for the booth

Client will arrange for an appropriate space for the photo booth at the event's venue. The photo booth requires a floor space of at least 10’x10’ and height of at least 8'.

Location of the photo booth must be reasonably accessible and on level ground.

There will be lights and signage but your guests still need to be able to find us. The photo booth should be placed in a highly visible area near the festivities. Guests typically do not go out of their way to visit the photo booth.

Client is responsible for ensuring power is available for the photo booth. The photo booth requires a 110V, 10 amps, 3 prong outlet from a reliable power source within 50 feet (along a wall or safe path) of the setup area. The circuit must be free of all other connected loads. Any delay in the performance or damage to the photo booth equipment due to improper power is the responsibility of the Client.

The Client shall provide directions to unique event locations, such as rural private residences or locations that do not show up correctly on Google or Apple Maps.

Client shall provide The Modern Portrait with safe and appropriate working conditions.
Outdoor Photo Booths

Outdoor photo booths must be placed in a completely dry area on level grass or concrete. No gravel or dirt; equipment can be damaged and the color printer won't operate if it's filled with dirt.

Photo booth must be in a location that is protected from wind, extreme heat/cold, and direct sunlight. Equipment will not work if it's too hot or too cold, and the touch screen will be difficult to see if it's in sunlight.

We hope for perfect weather for your outdoor event but a backup plan should be in place in case of inclement weather. In the case of rain or high winds, the photo booth will need to be moved to an indoor or protected area. If a new area cannot be provided and conditions are not safe for employees or equipment, The Modern Portrait reserves the right to shut down the photo booth and cancel the remaining service time. In this instance, no refunds will be given.
